Using Twitter lists with TweetByMail

Twitter lets you categorize and organize your friends into lists. TweetByMail can use these lists to filter the updates that you wish to receive via email.

When you first sign-on to TweetByMail, under the Updates tab you will be given the option to automatically create a new Twitter list for your account. It will be called TweetByMail Updates, and it will be a private list. (meaning nobody else will ever be able to see it)

If you have already created Twitter lists that you would like to use, click the link at the bottom to "Update my Twitter lists" and TBM will collect your lists and let you pick and choose from them.

When you choose one of the lists, and click "Save my list selection", all email updates will only include users on that list. So if you only want to get updates from your real-life friends, you can do that.

TweetByMail does not have any way to add or remove users from your lists. You can do that on the Twitter.com website directly, or through many of the leading Twitter applications.
